Grace Leadership Development Program
Coaches Role Summary
- Vision Statement: The Coach / Leader-in-Training interaction around the material
presented in the Workshops is the primary engine of Leadership
Development. The quality of the
Coach / Leader-in-Training relationship is the most critical component of
the Grace Leadership Development Program.
- Chosen by the Grace
Leadership Development Team based on recommendations from Grace elders, pastors, ministry directors, and key leaders.
- All coaches are
recognized Grace leaders
- Each coach works with
2 to 3 leaders-in-training
- During the 3 month
period, each coach will personally meet with each leader-in-training at
least once a month
- Each coach will also
make at least 3 additional phone or email contacts with their
leaders-in-training
- Meetings and
communications will be focused on:
- Discussion and
completion of Leadership Development Program assignments
- What’s going
well?
- What’s been
challenging?
- What’s the
next step?
- Character, skills
and core doctrines
- The Coach participates
with their Leaders in each Leadership Development Program workshop.
- The coach will
participate in the Preseason Training for Workshop Facilitators and
coaches
- Coaches will be paired
with the same gender leaders-in-training unless otherwise approved by
Grace Leadership Development Team
- Coaches will be
accountable to the Grace Leadership Development Team
